Team

Over the years, I have been so fortunate to work with some amazing women. Kangaroo Kids has a long, deep tradition of being a community of dedicated, compassionate mothers running the shop. This crew is no different. I am so proud to work with these fabulous mamas. ~Sierra

Robyn

Robyn has been a part of the Kangaroo Kids family for almost a decade. She came in one day looking for some shoes for her nine-month-old daughter and happened to ask if we needed any help. Robyn started working shortly after that in our (then) cafe. She later moved on to work in the shop side-by-side with Sierra…and the rest is history.

Robyn’s specialty is organization. It makes her day to hear guests say how clean and organized the shop is. She loves that the shop gives her a place to use her creativity and excels at developing gorgeous merchandising displays. She also has an extensive knowledge about herbs, oils, and healthy living. Make sure to tap into this resource when you are in the shop.

We are so lucky to have had her amazing children grow up around Kangaroo Kids. Her son (age 13) and daughter (age 11) are sweet and loving children.

Robyn loves doing anything outdoors and is prone to getting lost in a good book!

Kim

Kim began resale shopping when her daughter (age 14) was young. She came to Kangaroo Kids for the first time twelve years ago, and is now a valuable member of our team.

Kim attended the Art Institute of Houston for architecture and design. With that background, her attention to detail, and ability to stay on task, she keeps Kangaroo Kids running seamlessly.

Her experience as a mother of two and a value shopper makes her an invaluable resource for moms who visit our shop. Come in and let Kim help you find the best deals on the cutest stuff! (And as a bonus, her two-year-old daughter might be around ready to make you laugh.)

Tawnya

Tawnya is the newest member of the Kangaroo Kids team.  She first heard about Kangaroo Kids eleven years ago when a friend attended our lactation support  groups.  Ten years later, Tawnya found herself struggling to latch her baby comfortably and found the help she needed in those same support groups.  She hung out long enough that we hired her and got ourselves a new “shop baby” in the deal!

Tawnya’s favorite part of working at Kangaroo Kids is helping families.  She is right there in the trenches with them, and her empathy and support are genuine.

She enjoys crafting of all sorts, but spends most of her time knitting.  Tawnya is in the process of getting her degree in early childhood education and loves learning about child psychology and different parenting styles.
